Happy Halloween!!

I don't know about any of you....but I love the fall. On one condition....that it doesn't RAIN soooo much that all the leaves fall within a matter of 3 days and you get no time to enjoy them! We have gotten so much rain over here - I was beginning to think it was more like spring time. I guess I am just thankful it hasn't been cold enough to turn that rain into sleet or ice!

Anyway - lets get you all caught up since Oct 8 last post. On the 9th, we drove over to Omaha for Nick and Misty's wedding. It was a carpool - with Jason, my mom and myself in one car and Jim, Aunt Doris, Kellie, Stacy, Olivia, and Caitlyn following close behind. What they didn't know, is that I was serious about peeing every hour to hour and a half. In fact, we even got to stop because I felt sick and vomitted in the car!! Not sure if that was from lunch or car sickness or pregnancy - but did learn that my husband doesn't do vomit well. We are going to have to get him over that real quick! So, a typical 6-6 1/2 hr. drive turned into about 8 hrs and we arrived just at the start of the rehearsal. Whew...

On Thursday October 22, Jason got a call from Buy Buy Baby telling us that all the furniture we ordered was all in!! Thankfully Jason was off work on Friday October 23 - so he got my dad's dulley (sp?) and he and Margaret made the trip over to Indy to pick it all up. The only snag was on the way back home when they got a flat tire - but my husband handled it nicely and was able to get it all home in their original pieces. He had some friends from work stop by our house and give him a hand getting it into the nursery. Overall, Jason did just over 500 miles that day. I was glad when he made it home safe and sound.
On Saturday October 24, I woke up and did some litter pickup (environmental stewardship project for work) but then came home and Jason and I started in on the nursery. Well....more like Jason started on and I just got in the way taking pictures....check these out:

If you know me, you know that there are about 20 more pics but these are just some of the highlights. We still have alot of decorating to do, but at least the furniture is here in case she decides to make an early appearance. On Sunday, I called my mom to see if she wanted to come over to Decatur and check out the room. She liked it alot and said that she is getting anxious to pick up the baby out of the crib....so are we! Mom and I also went to Sam's club to get some much needed shopping done but otherwise, I spent the rest of that day making baby shower invitations (sounds weird, but you know it's what I like to do) for my Spfld shower on Nov 29 that my Aunt Bonnie, Aunt Doris, mom, cousin Jill and best friend Meaghan have all planned for me.

On Thursday (Oct 29), Jason and I had our first prenatal class that the hospital offers for free. While I know there are things I would like to learn, I knew this class would be good for Jason. If nothing else, to help him feel more comfortable knowing what is going to happen and his role. The class was huge so they broke us up into two groups so that it makes for a better learning experience. I am pretty excited about it and hope that we learn one or two useful things throughout the 5 week course.

As for this weekend -- nothing special planned. Jason is working - as usual and I will probably be scrapbooking - as usual. I will leave you with a few updated pictures of 'the bump'.

25 weeks down, 15 to go!

I love Fall....I wish it could be fall all year around. The weather is perfect (except when its raining) and the trees are beautiful! Love it, love it, love it.

22 weeks

24 weeks, 1 day

Thought I would post some current pics of me and my expanding stomach. She is a growing girl - there is no doubt about that! Today I am 25 weeks along with only 15 to go. We are in the home stretch!! I can't believe it has gone that fast!! I have to have my glucola test in 2 weeks...and speaking of 2 weeks, my appts are now every two weeks!! I have been having some Braxton Hicks contractions (according to my Dr. - I had no idea that is what it was) so I have to watch my intensity on the treadmill and try not to over-do it. I just thought I had some cramps...oops!

Both Jason and I are getting anxious for our furniture to arrive. Jason called the store last night and found out that the dresser and crib were in - but that the rest (hutch, bed rails, night stand, chair) were still on there way. We are hoping it will be in by the first week of November when we head over to Indianapolis for a baby shower that his mom and sister-n-law are throwing for us.

Tomorrow we are headed over to Omaha Nebraska for the weekend. My brother is getting married and we are pretty excited! I saw that the temperature was only going to be a high of 49F - so a little nervous about that b/c I am not sure I have any jackets that can wrap around my big bump!! Other than that - I hope it is a wonderful day for them and that everything is perfect! I took a vacation day today to get us all packed and ready. When Jason gets off work, we will be driving to give our 'babies' to Scott and Heather for the weekend. I already miss them and they aren't even gone yet. What's it going to be like with a real child!???! Oh boy!

Alright - gotta get off here and do what I took the day off to be doing. Happy Fall - enjoy it while it lasts!
