Another month here and gone....I can't keep up anymore!
Let's see what did we do in the wonderful weather month of August...
Scott, Heather and the kids came up the first weekend. They just got a new little miniature dachshund - Brody. He is simply adorable and seems to be fond of our little Lucy. Although I was exhausted, it was a nice weekend. Jason and Scott played on Saturday while Heather, Margaret, the kids and I went to lunch and caught up with each other.
I took August 14 off so Jason and I could hang out. We first went to the Salon where I got my hair cut off and he got a much needed pedicure. Apparently, he's been going a little crazy with the ped-egg and made his feet worse rather than better. After the salon, we headed out to the Illinois State Fair where we walked around from about 11a-3p. After getting BURNED (as usual), Jason made me go shopping for some much needed maternity clothes. Although I hated to spend the money -- I definitely needed to do it.
Last Sunday, Jason and I went into Spfld to do some shopping. I needed to go to LensCrafters but b/c I'm so blind, they needed to order my lenses - so the whole glasses in an hour went out the window. My mom joined us for the shopping so that we could get some stuff for my brother's upcoming wedding. We had pizza for dinner with my mom then came back to Decatur to get ready for the long work week ahead of us.
I had a two day training at work that I really enjoyed. I am getting more and more into this audit business and may think of directing my work/career in that direction. Other than that, work is just work.
This weekend - we did our grocery shopping on Friday night. I never thought in a million years that I would get to a point in my life where the highlight of my Friday night was grocery shopping. But its here -- and we are boring. Oh well, we are okay with boring.
The bad news of the month is that we found a leak in our ceiling....the basement ceiling and we aren't really sure where it is coming from. As soon as Jason got off work, he poked his head around trying to find the source but it appears that all pipes near the water puddle are dusty so it must be traveling down from somewhere else. He wants to cut out some drywall to take a look but I'd rather be safe than sorry and have someone help him so that we don't cut the wrong section, etc. If anyone knows how to help and can....PLEASE call Jason. We would really appreciate it.
Then after Jason got done playing detective on our leak on Saturday, we drove into Spfld and went to a Lanphier football game to support Steve (Meaghan's husband), who is the head football coach. Let's just say that LHS has some work to do - but it was fun hanging out with Meaghan, her babies, and family. It was so nice today that we walked the dogs at 230p -- usually not the best time of day to do so b/c of the heat. Today, it was perfect!
Here is my week 18 photo op. Unfortunately, the belly is larger than I'd like for it to be just under half way but if it means that the baby is growing and healthy - I'll just deal with it. I will be 20 weeks on 09/03 and our next doctor appt is 09/09/09 -- which is the ultrasound to make sure that everything is growing the way its suppose to. Hopefully, we will also find out the sex too so we can get to some highly anticipated shopping.
Hope everyone had a wonderful August. September will also come and go - hope the weather makes it enjoyable. I can't believe Jason and I have almost been married for a year now! How time flies!
