Making things official...

By now the news has begun to spread so we thought that we'd make it official...

We are expecting a little Williamson in late January! I am almost through my first trimester and am anxiously awaiting to find out exactly what we will be having. I really want a little boy but am adjusting to the option that it could be a little girl. Either way - all we, as any parent wishes, want them to be healthy! Our 1st 2 ultrasounds only showed 1 heartbeat -- THANK GOODNESS! I might have passed out if there was more than one.

I have been lucky enough to only experience Nausea and no vomitting. The only food aversion I have had is POPCORN. We have a popcorn popper right around the corner in the break room at work - and it gets used all day everyday. The smell is horrific and I am now to a point where I can't eat it at all without getting sick. Early on, I had a salt craving and loved salt and vinegar chips. Thankfully that has worn off. The only other craving was noodles - I didn't care if it was spaghetti, mac and cheese, chili -- anything that had noodles, I wanted it. That only last a little over a week. Other than that - nothing else has changed.

Jason and I are pretty excited and can only hope that everything is smooth sailing from here. We will keep you posted on 'the bump' and our happenings as we prepare to have our lives drastically changed in the next year.

We have started our list of names too and want your help. We are sure this list will change as time goes on but go to this website: http://www.babynames.com/namelist/9717734 and vote for your favorites! Once we find out the sex (b/c there is no way that I could go without knowing!), we will update the list again to only include the names that apply to the gender and probably add a few choices.

Lots of new things....

Wow - its only been a month! It seems like at least 3 months. I need to get on here more often so that my blogs don't turn into novels!!

We have seen several deer in our backyard nibbling at our trees. They see us come out, pose for a quick pic, and then they are back off into the woods. Jason is loving this -- not a typical sight for a city boy. Check out some of the pics we got of it/them/same deer - who knows.

Okay - so this month has been a whirlwind. We went over to Indianapolis the weekend of May 14-17 because Jason's cousin got married on the 16th. As always - the trips fly by. We didn't do anything special for Memorial Day weekend. My friend Molly came over on that Sunday and we went for a walk. Jason and I then went out and decided we were ready for some patio furniture since we have a 3 level deck and nothing on it but a grill. Other than that, I think we watched movies.

Then we made the leap - and did what no one else seems to be doing these days...purchased a new car. This has been a long time coming for me. I told myself that I would get one for my 25th birthday - that didn't happen, then I said with tax money the next two years - that didn't happen, so finally it was time. We needed to get Jason out of his lease so in went the 2006 Chevy Silverado and out came a 2009 Chevy Traverse (the new crossover b/c they don't make Trailblazers anymore). We love it! The pictures really don't do it justice. It has BluTooth, OnStar, XM, a built in DVD player, rides VERY smoothly, can carry up to 7 people -- just lots of FUN, FUN, FUN.

Finally, my husband went crazy for a day! I'm not sure exactly what got into him but he trimmed his beard. It was sooooo short, that I told him he should just shave off b/c it kinda reminded me of a molester mustache. So, off it came. Remember, I have never seen him with out his mustache/goatee before because he has had it since we met. I couldn't believe how different he looked! Take a look (it took me about an hour or two of convincing for him to let me take his picture - so enjoy it). He tells me that it won't happen again - but I think he'll get another 7 year itch!! :) He is handsome with or without it!

That's about it for now. I hope to get on here a little more often in the near future...so stayed tuned for all the summer details of our life in Decatur! We are planning on a trip to Omaha the week of my birthday, my cousin is scheduled to have her baby on my birthday (07.08.09), and we have a wedding and my 10 yr class reunion right around the corner. Busy, busy, busy!
Stay tuned....
