Wow - where has the time gone? I can't believe January is already over!
Nothing new in Decatur. Jason will taking a driving test in February so that he can potentially become full time with Lowe's. Our problem has been locating a CDL Class B truck -- the driver's license facility requires that you provide your own vehicle for the test and well, we just don't have one sitting in the driveway - so its been a struggle, but we have found one and can't wait for him to take the test, pass and get on with life!
Charlie and Lucy are still living are really hard life! They are so funny though with all this snow we've gotten. They look like rabbits jumping in it because if they don't run and jump, they will be buried in it....at least Lucy does.
My biggest excitement in the last two weeks was finding the CD that came with my digital camera so that I could get the ~600 pics off of it and onto my computer! Now, I can finally start printing some off for frames and scrapbook! Speaking, today sounds like a great day to scrap! Take care and keep in touch.
p.s. I'm still on the weight watcher wagon...haven't fallen off but I gotta say that all the Valentine candy is really testing my will power. Is there ever a month that the stores don't sell candy for some holiday!?!?!?!?! because next comes Easter then Memorial Day then the 4th of July and the list goes on.....

One week down, 16 to go
So today marked the finish of week one on my way to becoming healthier and stronger. I officially lost 1.6 lbs and was thrilled considering last week was my first on call week at work. (This means calls at any time of day for lab/sample/instrument issues. I got many calls including those at 1145p, 1 a, 130a, 3 a, and 330a) So you can imagine that working out and eating well wasn't at the top of my list - but I made it a priority and am glad that I did! My goal is simply a pound per week - so I am off to a great start.
One negative thing that Jason and I have learned about living in a small city (or should we call it town??) Um, gas and electric companies are few and far between - or there is only one and they are a monopoly!!! Our gas/electric bill ..... drum roll please ...... was $450!! So, I would like all of you to take a second and count your blessings if yours was less. If it wasn't... well, never mind, I can't imagine anyone have a worse bill! We are outraged but there is absolutely nothing that we can do....so we are going to look into getting our chimney cleaned and go back to the days of wood burning!!
As far as company goes, I believe Jason's parents are making the journey over from Indy this weekend and I know he really misses them! Weekends always go by fast when you have company. Other than that - it's my dad's 54th bday - so may end up having dinner or something. Hope you all have a wonderful relaxing weekend!

Stop that beeping!!
Just thought that I'd share with you our funny story of the week....
So for the past four days Jason has been on the search for this beeping noise in the house. It sounds like any typical smoke detector whose battery needs changed. So naturally, he goes to the one closest to where the beep is coming from - Nope that's not it. Then it stops. The next day, the beep begins again. Now he is thinking that it is our humidifier sensor telling us that our water level is too low....so he fills it up. Nope, not it. Then he disassembles the sensor b/c that has to be it. Nope, still a beep.
So then last night he is going mad over it all the while I just think its plain funny. So he goes around the three closes areas and dismantles everything -- and I mean everything!!! (Meanwhile, I'm kicked back in the front room getting my weekly dose of Bachelor) The longer he looks, the more agitated he is becoming. So after three fire alarms, the humidifier, the thermostat, and the carbon monoxide detector have all been dismantled ... we wait ... and there it is... another beep! I think this is hilarious - he doesn't! So we start banging on the walls around where the beep is. (Wait - first picture the two of us standing in a room trying not to breathe so that we can hear the beep when it goes off about every 2 minutes - and get agitated when the dogs move)
I tell him, it has to be coming from a cold air return vent in our kitchen. So we take that off just to find that it isn't in fact a cold air return but just some 4x4 beams from the remodeling. Whatever we did banging worked ... because now the beep is gone.... until today when Jason gets home from work and "BEEP" So he gets a mirror and flashlight and tries looking down that cold air return. Guess what he finds in the middle of a drywalled/painted wall ??? A smoke detector that has been left or fallen during the remodel and its battery is low. So now he must become McGuyver (sp?) and get some hangers opened up and hooked together to get this thing so that we don't have to put a whole in the wall. After about 30 minutes --- tada! The beep is no more! And that is what life is like in the Williamson home this week!

Sweatin' with Richard Simmons
Hey gang-
Back on the bandwagon again...I officially started Weight Watchers for the 'billion'th time. I did it on my own May '07 to summer '08 and actually lost 30 lbs. But due to all the wonderful happenings in my life, I gained 10 of that back....so back on the bandwagon!! I don't mind some days...other days, I want nothing but chocolate.
The best quote I've heard about weight loss is "Nothing tastes as good as you will feel when you have reached your goal weight!" And, I suppose it's true.
The other motivating factor is that I somehow got talked into participating in a 4-man Marathon relay in April, which is roughly 6.5 miles a piece. No sweat since I have completed several mini-marathons (13.1 miles) but a BIG sweat when all I've done lately is sit on my caboose and spoon out the chocolate.
So, if you see me eating like a 100 lb model, its okay - I don't have any eating issues except for the fact that I'm not eating. Oh yeah - this isn't a New Year's resolution either! I learned a long time ago that those just weren't for me....

Trying Something New
Hello Hello! So its a new year and with that - I have decided to get out of my box and try something new. Friends of mine, Mike and Vicki Pratt, use this blogspot to keep family and friends updated on the happenings in their life! I love the idea and figured that I would give it a try for my family and friends....hoping that some of you will do the same and try it yourself.
2009 is going to be an exciting year - Jason and I have no idea what's in store but we are excited to finally be through all the wedding planning, the new job, and moving to a whole other state! Talk about life's stressful situations all given to you at once in a basket! But we made it and now that we will make it through anything.
Ok, I'm making this entry short - just to see if it works and see who all wants to join me in a new thing! Can't wait to hear from you all!
Love
Jason and Andrea :)
